Indiana Furniture, formerly known as Indiana Desk, is a venerable American office furniture manufacturer based in one of the country’s most famous office furniture towns – Jasper, Indiana. Founded in 1905 under the name Jasper Novelty Works, the company early focused on quality wood desks, especially typewriter desks in this period when typing was becoming widespread in businesses.
Recognizing their area of expertise focusing on office desks, teachers’ desks, secretaries’ desks, and other office furniture, the company officially changed their name to Indiana Desk Company in 1929.
Today, Indiana Furniture continues to innovate with its UVAdvantage line of coatings which render a more durable, longer lasting desk or cabinet.
